2027 Jeep Wrangler: What's New by Trim, Price and Colors

The short answer: The 2027 Jeep Wrangler keeps the same three engines and the same off-road hardware as 2026, but Jeep moved a lot of popular equipment into standard trim. Sport, Sport S and Willys now get a standard 7-inch color instrument cluster. Sahara (4-door only) becomes the loaded comfort trim, with Alpine audio, navigation, blind-spot monitoring, rear park assist, side steps and a front TrailCam all standard. Rubicon adds standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and navigation. There are six new or returning paint colors, including first-ever Ghost and limited-edition Gum 31. The 2027 Wrangler starts at $36,635 MSRP, which is $600 more than the 2026 model's $36,035 starting price, and it's available to order now.

What's new for 2027, trim by trim

Sport, Sport S and Willys

• A 7-inch TFT color instrument cluster is now standard on Sport, Sport S and Willys.

• Sport S and Willys add standard passive entry, so you can unlock the doors with the key fob in your pocket.

• The 2-door Willys now gets the vented power-dome hood as standard, matching the 4-door Willys.

Sahara (4-door only)

Sahara gets the biggest upgrade for 2027. These features are now standard:

• McKinley trimmed seats

• Side steps

• Nine-speaker Alpine premium audio

• Embedded navigation

• Rear park assist

• Blind-spot and cross-path detection

• Auto-dimming rearview mirror

• Automatic high-beam headlights

• Universal garage door opener

• Front off-road TrailCam

If you were planning to build a Sahara with options anyway, the 2027 puts most of that list in the base trim. Compare the window stickers of a 2026 and a 2027 Sahara side by side before you decide.

Rubicon and Rubicon X

Rubicon models get standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and embedded navigation. On a January morning in Coastal Georgia, the heated seats and steering wheel get used more than you'd think.

V8 models and special editions

The Willys 392 and Moab 392 (both 4-door only) carry over with the 6.4L V8. Five Twelve 4 Twelve special editions also carry over into 2027: Moab 392, Willys 392, Whitecap, Rewind and Rockslide.

2027 Jeep Wrangler trims

Jeep lists eight trims for 2027: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Willys 392 and Moab 392. Sahara, Willys 392 and Moab 392 are 4-door only. Willys comes as a 2-door or a 4-door. For door and engine choices on other trims, check Jeep's build tool or ask our sales team.

Engines, towing and off-road numbers

The powertrains carry over from 2026:

Jeep's 2027 capability numbers, all "when properly equipped":

• Towing: up to 5,000 pounds

• Crawl ratio: up to 100:1

• Ground clearance: up to 12.9 inches

• Approach, breakover and departure angles: up to 47.4, 32.4 and 40.4 degrees

• Water fording: up to 34 inches

• 4x4 systems: Command-Trac, Rock-Trac (part-time and full-time) and Selec-Trac full-time

2027 Jeep Wrangler colors

Exterior colors for 2027 are Black, Bright White, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, Earl Grey, '41 and Joose, plus six colors that arrive later in the model year:

• Gum 31 (new, limited edition)

• Fathom Blue (limited edition)

• Gobi

• Sting Gray

• Hella Yella

Jeep lists all six as "late availability," so if you want one of them, ask us about ordering instead of waiting for one to show up on the lot. The interior comes in black.

2027 Jeep Wrangler price

Jeep.com lists the 2027 Wrangler at a starting MSRP of $36,635, compared with $36,035 for the 2026 Wrangler. That starting price is for the base model and leaves out destination, taxes, title, registration and options. Jeep hasn't published a full 2027 price list for each trim in its announcement. Should you buy a 2026 or order a 2027?

• Choose a 2027 if you want a Sahara with the new standard equipment, heated seats and a heated wheel on a Rubicon, or one of the new colors like Ghost or Gum 31.

• Look at a 2026 if you'd rather drive one home this week. Jeep's $500 Military Bonus Cash currently applies to eligible 2026 Wranglers, including the 392, and as of Oct. 28, 2026, Jeep's offer terms don't list the 2027 Wrangler.
