2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee: What's New, Trims and Price
The short answer: The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee adds three trims: the new Laredo Upland, plus the returning Trailhawk and Overland. Laredo and Laredo X now get a 10.1-inch touchscreen in place of the old 8.4-inch screen, and Limited adds a wireless charging pad, rain-sensing wipers and new 20-inch wheels. There are eight new paint colors. The 2027 Grand Cherokee starts at $41,515 including the $1,995 destination charge, and it's available to order now, with models arriving at dealers in late 2026.
Facts verified Oct. 30, 2026, from Stellantis' "What's New for 2027: Jeep Grand Cherokee" release (Aug. 12, 2026), its June 15, 2026 Trailhawk and Overland release, and Jeep.com. Pricing can change at any time; check the window sticker.
The Grand Cherokee is the No. 1 volume vehicle for both Jeep and Stellantis, and it's one of the SUVs we're asked about most at Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Hinesville. Soldiers and families from Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, and shoppers from Savannah, Richmond Hill and Pooler, want to know one thing: is the 2027 worth it over a 2026? Here's what changed and what didn't.
What's new for 2027
The big redesign happened for 2026, when the Grand Cherokee got new styling, a 12.3-inch touchscreen on higher trims and the new Hurricane 4 Turbo engine. For 2027, Jeep focused on trims and features.
Laredo and Laredo X
A 10.1-inch touchscreen is now standard, replacing the 8.4-inch screen.
New 18-inch wheel design.
Wicker Beige is a new interior color for Laredo.
Laredo Altitude
New 18-inch wheel design.
Laredo Upland (new)
Upland gives you Trailhawk looks and some off-road gear at a lower price:
18-inch Trailhawk-inspired wheels on 265/60R18 all-terrain tires
Trailhawk-inspired front fascia with Vapor Gray tow hooks
Body-color painted roof and dark neutral gray exterior accents
Capri leatherette and suede seats in Global Black
Limited and Limited Reserve
New 20-inch wheel design
Wireless charging pad and rain-sensing wipers
Auto power-folding mirrors on Limited Reserve
Trailhawk (returns, late availability)
The Trailhawk is back as the most off-road-capable Grand Cherokee. It uses the 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo (324 horsepower, 332 lb-ft of torque) with an eight-speed automatic, and it's Trail Rated. Standard gear includes:
Quadra-Trac II 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case
Selec-Terrain with Rock mode
Quadra-Lift air suspension with semi-active damping
Rear electronic limited-slip differential
30.5-inch Goodyear Territory All-Terrain tires
TrailCam off-road camera
Six steel skid plates
Nappa leather seats with red stitching and a 12.3-inch touchscreen
Jeep rates the Trailhawk at 11.4 inches of ground clearance and 36-, 24.4- and 30.3-degree approach, breakover and departure angles, all best in class.
Overland (returns, late availability)
Overland is the premium off-road Grand Cherokee. It has its own front end with bright tow hooks, 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, Quadra-Trac II with a two-speed transfer case, Quadra-Lift air suspension, hill-descent control and a standard 360-degree camera.
New colors
Jeep added eight colors for 2027: High Gloss Black and Sting Gray, plus Ghost, Red Hot, Olive Green, Midnight Sky, Ember and Red Rock, which have late availability. Bright White, Steel Blue, Copper Shino and Fathom Blue carry over.

Grand Cherokee vs. Grand Cherokee L
The Grand Cherokee comes in two sizes for 2027:
Grand Cherokee (2-row): seats up to 5, with up to 70.8 cubic feet of cargo room.
Grand Cherokee L (3-row): seats up to 7, with up to 84.6 cubic feet of cargo room when the rear seats are folded.
If you're a Fort Stewart family with three kids, car seats or a PCS move coming up, the L's third row makes a real difference. If it's usually two to four people and gear, the two-row is shorter and easier to park. You can compare both on our lot: see our new Grand Cherokee inventory and new Grand Cherokee L inventory. For more help choosing a size, read our family SUV size guide.
Towing and engines
Two engines carry over from 2026: the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and the 2.0L Hurricane 4 Turbo, which makes 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Jeep rates the 2027 Grand Cherokee for up to 6,200 pounds of towing when properly equipped, which it calls best in class. That's enough for many boats and campers that families take out to Richmond Hill or Tybee. Check the exact rating for your trim and options before you hitch up; our Grand Cherokee towing guide explains how.
There's no Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid for 2027. Jeep says the Grand Cherokee 4xe is no longer in production, and some dealers may still have limited inventory.
2026 or 2027: which should you buy?
A 2026 has the same refreshed styling, the same two engines and the same 6,200-pound towing rating. What it doesn't have is the Upland, Trailhawk or Overland trims, the 10.1-inch screen on Laredo and Laredo X, or the new colors. A leftover 2026 may also qualify for different factory offers than a 2027. Compare both window stickers and the current offers on each before you decide.
Military buyers at Fort Stewart and Hunter AAF
Jeep offers $500 Military Bonus Cash on select models for eligible service members and veterans. On Oct. 29, 2026, Jeep's eligible list included the 2026 Grand Cherokee; it didn't list the 2027 yet. Check our Jeep military discount page or military incentives page for what applies today.
