The Rumble Bee is the truck people keep asking us about at Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Hinesville. Soldiers at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, and truck fans from Savannah, Richmond Hill and Pooler, want to know what it costs, how fast it is and how to get one. Here's what Ram has confirmed.
What is the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee?
Ram calls the Rumble Bee a "muscle truck," a street-performance pickup for people who love American muscle cars. It brings back a name from Ram's past performance trucks, and Ram says it draws on the Li'l Red Express, SRT-10 and the original Rumble Bee.
What makes it different from a regular Ram 1500:
Shorter truck. An exclusive Quad Cab and short-bed combination on a frame that's 13 inches shorter, which Ram says cuts frame flex by 10% for sharper handling.
Widebody stance. The truck is 88 inches wide and 219.5 inches long, with a wider track front and rear.
Full-time four-wheel drive on every version, plus a button that switches to rear-wheel drive only.
Muscle-car controls: flat-bottom steering wheel, console shifter and aluminum paddle shifters.
Real truck capability: up to 8,890 pounds of towing and up to 1,160 pounds of payload when properly equipped.
Available tech includes a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a head-up display and Active Driving Assist.

Rumble Bee (5.7L HEMI)
The entry truck uses the 5.7L HEMI with an eight-speed automatic and a 3.92 rear axle ratio. Ram lists 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds and a 14.6-second quarter mile. It rides on steel coil suspension with Bilstein performance shocks.
Rumble Bee 392 and 392 Track Pack
This is the first time Ram has put the 6.4L 392 HEMI in a Ram 1500. Ram lists 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and a 13.2-second quarter mile. The Track Pack adds air suspension with semi-active dampers, six-piston Brembo front brakes, an electronic spool differential for drag starts, launch control and a track drive mode.
Rumble Bee SRT
The SRT gets the supercharged 6.2L "Hellcat" HEMI, which Ram calls the most powerful V8 ever in a production pickup. Ram targets 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, an 11.6-second quarter mile and a 170-mph top speed. It rides on 325/40R22 tires on 22x12-inch wheels.
